Conducting election of your type”E” Society:

1. Bythe aforesaid notification dated 6.4.2021,the Principal Rules ie the Maharashtra Co-operative Societies (Election to Committee)Rule,2014 are amended for Housing Society having less than or up to 250 members as on 31stMarch of the preceding year as type”E” Societies.

2. Further,by notification date 16.9.2021,societies,where,term of Managing Committee is due for election, need to start election process immediately by appointing Returning officer for conducting election as per Rule 76-b of notification dated 6.4.2021 from the panel of Returning officers maintained by respective Registrar.

3. As per Govt. of Maharashtra Ordinance No IX of 2021 dated 2.11.2021,the members and office bearers of the Managing Committee shall be deemed to have continued as member and office bearers of the Managing Committee till new Committee is duly constituted by holding Election.

4. where term of Managing Committee yet to expire, needs to appoint Returning Officer 60days prior to the date of expiry of term of Managing Committee as per Rule 76B.

5. As per above Order date 29.9.2021,Panel of Returning officers are appointed by the SCEA for conducting elections of type “E” societies,in which undersigned’s name is appearing at sr.no.as Returning Officer
